Hidden Level in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to help advance counter-UAS and UTM initiatives, with onsite work and some remote flexibility.

You will build and improve full-stack components using AWS, Python, Flask, and SQL, collaborate with cross-functional teams, review designs, and document technical decisions to ensure secure, scalable software that meets mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience on Linux platforms.
• Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles.
• Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of full-stack components across our stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases.

Position Overview:

As we expand, we're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is interest ed in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) .

Location:

We do our best work together! This role is primarily onsite in Syracuse, NY, with some flexibility to work remotely when the role and schedule allow.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering , or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background
• Proficiency with Python
• Experience using and developing on Linux platforms
• Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles
• Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ , SSH, HTTP and TLS
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas
• Proficiency with or willingness to learn C++
• Experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
