Job summary

Connecticut Housing Finance Authority is seeking a Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust software applications used across the organization, including web and Windows platforms.

You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions, follow SDLC practices, and collaborate with stakeholders and IT staff to deliver secure, reliable software while providing second‑tier support and ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business administration or computer science preferred; requires a minimum of three years' experience in design/development.
• Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade apps using .NET / .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with web and Windows applications in an OO programming environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable software applications and services.
• Define project scope and develop detailed plans with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Understand CHFA's business model, engage with stakeholders, and benchmark against other HFAs.
• Troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and implement optimizations for reliability.
• Provide second-tier technical support for internal and external apps and third-party products.
• Develop ad hoc reports, data extracts, and queries for program monitoring.
