Connecticut Housing Finance Authority is seeking a Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust software applications used across the organization, including web and Windows platforms.
You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions, follow SDLC practices, and collaborate with stakeholders and IT staff to deliver secure, reliable software while providing second‑tier support and ad hoc reporting.

This position serves as a developer and technical resource responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting software applications that meet CHFA's business and operational needs. The role combines hands-on application development with technical expertise, contributing to solution design and promoting development standards and best practices across applications and databases.
Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and IT staff, the position assists in defining business and system requirements and translating those requirements into practical, scalable, and maintainable technology solutions. The position participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and ongoing support, with an emphasis on delivering secure, reliable, and high-quality solutions.
The position is also responsible for the development, enhancement, maintenance, and ongoing support of web-based and Windows-based applications used throughout the organization. In addition, the role coordinates software development initiatives from initial concept and requirements definition through implementation and successful delivery, working with stakeholders and other technical resources to ensure solutions meet established business and technical objectives.
Receives directions from Assistant Director, Information Technology or a position of a higher grade.

BS/BA in business administration or computer science preferred; requires a minimum of three years' experience working with application design/development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
