Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer II within the Asset & Wealth Management AM Tech Funds & Data team in Jersey City, NJ. You will contribute to designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable software components as part of an agile team.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot and front-end React.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with validation.
• Understanding of secure, resiliency, and security expectations.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity, with peer review and testing.
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream/downstream systems.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value.
• Performs technical troubleshooting for basic complexity.
• Analyzes large data sets to identify problems and aid decisions.
• Learns and applies processes and skills for secure, stable code and systems.
