Full stack Java Developer - Plano, TX

Position type: Contract/ Contract to Hire Duration: 3+ Months (contract to Hire) Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Proven 10+ years of experience in full-stack development with a 100% hands‑on coding background (not an architecture‑only role)
• Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, Next.js, and AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
• Proficient in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5/CSS3, component‑driven UI development, and web performance optimization
• Strong experience building microservices and RESTful API design/development; familiar with secure API practices
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning)
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control with Git
• Monitoring and Logging: Experience with tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Datadog
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) including sprint planning, stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Proficient in automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library) and containerization/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands‑on AI skills development and agentic flow enablement experience (LLM/AI integrations, orchestration, guardrails, evaluation)
• Ability to lead code reviews, ensure coding standards, and build scalable frontend and backend solutions while remaining hands‑on
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills

• Currently leaning heavier front end, but will shift to back end as well
• Must have some experience with Copilot or Claude etc
• Any discussion on agents is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a financial services environment.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits:

Pay Range*:$70- $80 per hour on W2

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
