Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for a 12-18 month contract in Charlotte. You will design and implement backend services with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, REST, and microservices in a hybrid onsite environment.

The role requires strong systems thinking, experience with SQL/Oracle and NoSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD (Jenkins). You will collaborate with teams, own technical decisions, and contribute to production support and coding tools like GitHub

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend systems.
• Deep knowledge of SQL/Oracle and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift, containers, and CI/CD tooling.

Rate: $60-65/hour W2

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and database technologies (SQL/Oracle and NoSQL).
• Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and messaging.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift, containers, and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and resolve production issues.
• Proven ability to take technical ownership and drive projects from design through deployment.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
• Banking experience is not required; candidates from any industry are welcome.
