Job summary

Covetus is seeking a seasoned Java backend engineer for on-site work in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX. You will apply deep Java, Spring, and microservices experience to build scalable backend services.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Java ecosystems, strong CI/CD knowledge, and a track record of implementing robust APIs and data solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Rest API, microservices, Kafka, Cloud, Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, Agile way of working and CI/CD concepts.
• Familiar with design and architectural patterns.
• Ability to write reusable Java libraries.
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Rest API, microservice architecture.
• Proficient with relational (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Understanding of scalable application design principles and JVM internals.
• Experience with automated testing and unit tests.
• Proficient in Git; familiar with Ant, Maven, Gradle.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Kafka, MQ, and Splunk; SQL skills.

• 10+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Rest API, microservices, Kafka, Cloud, Kubernetes, MongoDB, OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, Agile way of working and CI/CD concets.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
