Vantor is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team in McLean, VA. The role focuses on building modern, data‑driven user interfaces and robust backend APIs to support complex workflows.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders, design scalable frontend architectures, and integrate analytics services using Node.js, Python, and AWS. This is an onsite, full‑time position requiring TS/SCI clearance and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred).
• Backend API development with Node.js (Nest.js).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government stakeholders and product leadership to refine and document application requirements.
• Design and implement modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular or comparable frameworks (React or Vue).
• Build and integrate backend APIs using Node.js (Nest.js) and Python-based analytics services.
• Integrate external data sources, analytics libraries, and query engines to support complex workflows.
• Partner with UI/UX designers and power users to deliver intuitive, data-driven user experiences.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Test and validate features to ensure functional, performance, and usability requirements are met.
