Ford Motor Company is seeking a Software Engineer for Manufacturing Digital Engineering. Join a global team building and supporting software for manufacturing plants worldwide, with a hybrid on-site expectation in Dearborn four days a week.

You will design and deliver APIs, microservices, and Angular applications on Google Cloud Platform, while collaborating across IT and manufacturing teams. The role emphasizes high-quality software, TDD and CI/CD practices, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience developing front-end applications (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• 2+ years of experience developing back-end REST APIs (Java, Spring Boot).
• Experience with document-based/NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Proficient with version control and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support APIs, platforms, and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Develop Spring Boot/Java APIs and microservices on GCP.
• Develop and maintain Angular web applications on GCP.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and microservice architectures.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure performance/reliability.
• Deliver software using TDD, CI/CD, and best practices.
• Work with Product Managers and Designers to define solutions and user stories.
