Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Digital Engineering software engineer to join the MDE lineup. You will design, develop, and support APIs, platforms, and services for manufacturing tooling and dies. The role emphasizes full-stack work with Angular and Java on Google Cloud in a hybrid setting.

You’ll collaborate globally with IT, manufacturing engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable software. A strong background in REST APIs, CI/CD, and modern web apps is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with front-end technologies (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• 2+ years of back-end REST API development (Java/Spring Boot).
• Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Agile practices, source control, unit testing, and clean-code principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support APIs, platforms, and services as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technology solutions.
• Develop Spring Boot/Java APIs and microservices on GCP.
• Develop and maintain Angular web applications on GCP.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and microservice architectures for scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure performance and reliability.
• Deliver software using TDD, CI/CD, and best practices.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define solutions and user stories.
