Job summary

SpaceX, Hawthorne, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for the Simulation & Flight Systems team. You will design, develop, and own software powering analysis, prototypes, and vehicles, spanning simulation, emulation, and flight software across a high‑throughput, distributed pipeline.

You will collaborate across engineering teams to deliver features that improve the user experience and system performance, while upholding software craftsmanship in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math or science with 1+ years of software development; or 3+ years of experience.
• 1+ years building full‑stack web apps with JavaScript libraries (React, Lit).
• Experience with Python, C, C++, or Rust and relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Build full‑stack solutions integrating simulation software, emulators, and flight software.
• Rapidly develop prototypes to prove key design concepts and constraints.
• Create and maintain high‑fidelity simulation and emulation software for vehicles.
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of simulation platforms.
• Collaborate with users to design and deliver new features to boost productivity.
