Job summary

Soulside AI is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our core team and build a scalable AI-driven platform for behavioral health. You will work across the stack—from React UIs to Spring Boot services—solving complex data flows and healthcare requirements.

You’ll own major features, design distributed backend services, integrate LLM pipelines, and ensure security and reliability in a remote, US-based startup. Equity and growth opportunities accompany meaningful impact on patient care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building production applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with hands-on React experience.
• Experience managing complex frontend state and data flows.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks and responsive design.
• Solid backend experience with Java and Spring Boot for production services.
• Experience designing REST APIs and integrating frontend with backend.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging/streaming platforms (SQS, Kafka, Kinesis).
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
• Excellent communication to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Feature Development with React and TypeScript, backed by Spring Boot services.
• Architect and develop backend services processing healthcare data with queues and streaming.
• Translate complex clinical requirements into scalable UI and backend design.
• Design and optimize LLM pipelines, prompts, monitoring, and QA for AI outputs.
• Implement observability with monitoring and alerting practices.
• Apply security best practices, RBAC, and HIPAA compliance for data.
• Troubleshoot across the stack to ensure a seamless clinician experience.
• Make foundational technical decisions to scale from ten clinics to ten thousand.
• Collaborate closely with founders and clinical teams on solutions.
