Job summary

Mate, Inc. is seeking a part-time software engineer to move fast on iOS and web features. You’ll work directly with the founding team in a high-ownership role, building SwiftUI components and React interfaces while shaping the technical foundation.

The role covers backend logic with Node.js and AWS Lambda, reliability improvements, and design-to-code implementation from Figma. Remote (US-based) with 10–25 hours per week; equity or equity plus stipend depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping features on iOS and web stacks.
• Proficiency with React and SwiftUI in a product-focused environment.
• Familiarity with serverless backends and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Ship product features across iOS (SwiftUI) and web (React).
• Develop backend logic with Node.js and AWS Lambda.
• Improve reliability, production hardening, and architecture decisions.
• Translate designs from Figma into code and components.
