Job summary

Alexander Chapman is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own features end-to-end for an AI-native startup focused on creator commerce. You will shape engineering standards, build scalable backend services with Python/FastAPI/PostgreSQL on the backend, and deliver polished frontend experiences with React/TypeScript.

You will collaborate with customers, mentor engineers in AI-assisted workflows, and accelerate development velocity with AI tools in a remote/hybrid early-stage environment.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of full-stack engineering experience with ownership of products or major features.
• Strong experience across frontend and backend development, including Python, React, TypeScript, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Deep experience with AI-assisted development tools - particularly Claude Code, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and AI-driven software development.

Responsibilities

• Own features from ideation, design, and implementation through to launch.
• Build and scale backend systems, APIs, and data infrastructure using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and GCP.
• Develop polished, high-performance user experiences using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
• Lead architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices across the stack.
• Work directly with customers to translate ambiguous requirements into product solutions.

I'm working with a YC-backed startup building the operating system for creator commerce. Their platform helps brands and creators manage and scale social commerce programs across channels like TikTok Shop, with plans to become the infrastructure layer powering creator marketing across all major commerce platforms. They're already working with major consumer brands and are scaling rapidly.

This Senior Full Stack Engineer will own product development end-to-end while helping define engineering standards in an AI-native development environment.

The role will:
