Job summary

WellTheory is hiring an engineer to own what happens when things break, and then make sure they break less. You’ll triage, size impact, reproduce issues, and decide the best fix, while reducing the queue and shipping upstream improvements.

You’ll work across member app, Care Hub, and internal tools, partnering with care teams, and reporting to the Co-Founder & CPO. Expect a senior, fully remote team and a focus on scalable reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Fluency in TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Triage first, size the impact, reproduce the issue, and decide the next move.
• Find the root cause by digging through Sentry, GCP logs, and the codebase, and ship the fix when it’s worth it.
• Unblock, then fix to get the reporter moving and decide if the problem earns a ticket.
• Kill recurring issues by maintaining a prioritized backlog and shipping durable fixes, improvements, and feature requests.
• Make next week easier by writing runbooks, building meaningful alerts, and creating automations and AI agents to cut ticket volume.
• Protect the queue by ensuring a ticket is worth doing before advocating action.
• Handle member data with care.
