Job summary

Dover is seeking a Software Engineer, New Grad for a fully remote, full-time role. You will contribute to and grow into owning end-to-end internal platform capabilities and product features across frontend, backend, and data layers.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in a related field, internship or project experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and familiarity with React and Node.js. AWS and PostgreSQL experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building software applications through internship, co-op, research, or personal projects.
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with frontend development using React or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js (NestJS a plus).
• Understanding of PostgreSQL and core data modeling principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with Git and modern software workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, curiosity, attention to detail, growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of end-to-end fullstack systems powering internal workflows.
• Build clean backend services and APIs with scalable practices.
• Develop high-quality frontend interfaces for internal teams and end users.
• Model data and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and design to turn ideas into production-ready features.
• Improve engineering quality via code reviews, tests, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and build observable, resilient systems.
• Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability.
