Job summary

Octane Lending is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer II to build features across our core platforms used by dealerships nationwide. You’ll develop front-end interfaces and back-end APIs using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like React.

You will own concrete engineering tasks, design scalable systems, and ensure high-quality user experiences with automated tests and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) with 3-5 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DB2).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and architecture of scalable software systems.
• Write clean, efficient code and leverage AI-assisted development tools.
• Implement automated test suites to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
• Participate in code reviews and optimize existing codebase performance.
• Collaborate with teammates to refine product features and mentor junior engineers.
