Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Software Engineer II (Full Stack) on the Health team to build and maintain clinical tools powering healthcare initiatives. You will develop secure, scalable applications across the full stack, enabling providers and internal teams to work with member health data while delivering innovative health experiences.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Clinical teams to create intuitive UIs in React/TypeScript, backed by Java services and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Experience writing automated tests and producing clear technical documentation.
• Experience building secure applications, with an understanding of authentication, authorization, and best practices for protecting sensitive user data.
• Experience working with modern frontend architecture, component libraries, and design systems.
• Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Java (or another object-oriented language) and working with relational databases such as Postgres.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys working across the full technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications across React/TypeScript and Java services.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Clinical, Data Science, and Software Engineering teams.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions and iterate.
