Actalent is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a collaborative development team. This contract-to-hire role focuses 70% backend (Java, Ruby on Rails, Golang) and 30% frontend (JavaScript), delivering cloud-based applications on AWS with Kubernetes and Terraform.

You will work across the full SDLC, write scalable backend services, and contribute to deployment automation with Ansible. This fully remote position offers competitive hourly pay in the US market.

Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a collaborative development team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of modern software applications.

This position will have an approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend development split. The ideal candidate will bring strong backend development experience with Java, Ruby on Rails, and/or Golang, along with frontend development experience using JavaScript.

The engineer will work across the full software development lifecycle while contributing to cloud-based applications and modern development environments utilizing technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.

Key Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
