Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain Linux-based systems in a manufacturing environment in Oxnard, CA. You will monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure reliable day-to-day operations.

The role includes scripting, backups, documentation, and collaboration with IT teams to improve performance. This is a contract-to-hire, on-site position with a competitive pay range and standard benefits.

Location: 100% On-Site in Oxnard, supporting a Manufacturing Environment

About the Role

We're seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain Linux-based systems. You'll monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure reliable day-to-day operations.

• Follow established processes and elevate issues when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with Linux systems.


• Comfortable using the Linux command line.


• Familiarity with Ubuntu, SUSE, and/or Red Hat.


• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or similar certification.


• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix.


• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments.

Ideal for candidates looking to grow their Linux administration skills in a hands-on production environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
