Job summary

SaidGig is seeking a software engineer to build and stress-test production software for evaluating frontier language models before release. You will work directly with an AI lab engineering manager on fast-moving projects, integrating pre-release model APIs and delivering working code early in the engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Experience in Python/Java/Rust/C#/C++ plus proficiency in a second language.
• Hands-on full-stack experience with backend services, APIs, a modern frontend framework, databases and cloud deployment.
• Ability to join an unfamiliar codebase and deliver working code quickly with minimal ramp-up.
• Demonstrable career progression and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack applications, services, and tools in multiple languages to exercise model capabilities end to end.
• Integrate pre-release model APIs into functional software, including tool interfaces and telemetry.
• Identify, diagnose, and document model and integration failure modes and provide feedback to the research team.
• Rapidly prototype against evolving requirements and deliver increments with limited upfront specification.
• Collaborate with the engineering manager and other engineers to maintain code quality and documentation.
