Job summary

Gravitate is seeking a capable full-stack software engineer to own features across the fuel logistics platform. You’ll write Python services and APIs, model data in MongoDB, and build React/TypeScript interfaces from data model to screen.

You’ll contribute to on-call rotation, help improve observability and performance, and participate in design discussions with the product team. We value reliable delivery, end-to-end ownership, and openness to AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/React or depth in one with ability to pick up the other.
• Ability to deliver medium-sized features with some unknowns on time.
• Ability to debug frontend and backend issues independently.
• Experience with well-tested code and CI/CD practices.
• Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation for the product area.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to produce technical docs and code reviews.
• Openness to AI-assisted development to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver features of moderate complexity on time.
• Build features end-to-end across the stack: Python services/APIs, MongoDB models, React/TypeScript interfaces.
• Own features and components with accountability for quality and maintenance.
• Contribute to design discussions with viable alternatives; produce technical designs.
• Write well-tested, readable code and improve testing practices.
• Be a reliable member of the on-call rotation; debug incidents independently.
• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and performance improvements.
• Provide constructive code review feedback and mentor newer engineers.
• Write clear technical documents; communicate status, risks, blockers.
