Job summary

Gravitate is seeking an engineer to own features across the fuel logistics platform, writing Python services, modeling data in MongoDB, and delivering React/TypeScript interfaces end-to-end. You will be part of a team that values practical problem-solving, collaboration, and measurable impact.

You’ll participate in on-call rotations, work across the stack, and contribute to monitoring and performance improvements while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to deliver medium-sized features with some unknowns on time.
• Experience debugging frontend and backend issues independently.
• Willingness to participate in design discussions and produce technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver features of moderate complexity on time, breaking work into tasks and estimating accurately.
• Build features end-to-end across the stack: Python services and APIs, MongoDB data models, React/TypeScript interfaces.
• Own features and components within your product area, ensuring ongoing maintenance and quality.
• Contribute to design discussions with viable alternatives and produce clear technical designs.
• Write well-tested, readable code and help improve automated testing practices and coverage.
• Be a reliable on-call member, debugging bugs and incidents in your product area.
• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and performance improvements within your product area.
• Provide constructive code review feedback and mentor engineers newer than you.
• Write clear technical documents and communicate status, risks, and blockers.
