Qualifications

• 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with React.
• Backend experience with Node.js, Go, or Python, including API design and authentication patterns.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching layers (Redis, Memcached).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bonus: mobile development experience (React Native, Swift, or Kotlin), prior startup experience, or contributions to open-source tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features across a TypeScript/React frontend and Node.js or Go backend, owning delivery from spec to production
• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs handling production traffic, with attention to latency, pagination, and error handling
• Build and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and Redis, writing efficient migrations and query patterns as the product scales
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline improvements - automated testing, deployment automation, and observability tooling (Datadog or similar)
• Debug production issues end-to-end: trace logs, profile slow endpoints, and ship fixes with appropriate monitoring and alerting
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on scoping, estimates, and technical tradeoffs during planning
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering documentation, helping raise the technical bar across the team
