Job summary

Savo is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to own significant parts of our platform. You will work hands-on across the stack with React/TypeScript on the frontend and FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, LiveKit, and AWS on the backend.

This high-ownership role requires shaping approaches, driving end-to-end delivery, and mentoring engineers while collaborating with product and science teams. Based in Austin, TX with 5-10% travel, you will design APIs, ensure reliability, and contribute to AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong full-stack ability: React/TypeScript on the frontend and Python/FastAPI on the backend.
• Solid database skills with PostgreSQL in production.
• Experience building and running production systems on AWS.
• Comfort with ambiguity and proven technical design judgment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and elevating a team through code review.
• Experience in AI engineering with LLM-powered systems, including evals and prompts.

Responsibilities

• Own features and components end-to-end across the stack from design through production.
• Lead the technical design of medium-to-large components and define APIs and data models for scale.
• Own reliability, observability, error handling, and performance improvements for enterprise customers.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers and drive delivery of projects with minimal guidance.
• Collaborate with product and science teams to translate customer problems into solutions.
