State Farm is hiring for a software engineer to join the Agent Office Identification (AOI) team. The role offers hybrid work from hubs near Richardson, TX, or Bloomington, IL, with collaboration across product, analytics, UX, and engineering.

You will own features from concept to production, contribute to cloud-native modernization, and work with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and JavaScript. We seek 2–3 years of professional software development or a CS/SE degree with internships, and comfort

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus internship/project experience
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and JavaScript
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on cloud/container platforms (AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot/Codex is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own solutions from concept through production, not just code to a spec
• Collaborate with product, business, analytics, UX, and other engineers to identify and fix issues
• Provide input into technical decisions early in your career
• Help modernize legacy systems into reusable services on AWS/OpenShift
• Contribute to building scalable, cloud-native applications with strong data quality and security
