Job summary

FutureFit AI is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team, building end-to-end full-stack features across React/TypeScript and Node.js. You’ll own features from design to production with a focus on users facing barriers to opportunity.

We value humility, audacious goals, and ownership in a fast-paced, high-trust culture. Remote work from the US or Canada is supported, with Eastern time overlap preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience.
• Backend development experience; backend-leaning is a good fit.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Ability to take an ambiguous problem and execute with limited direction.
• Able to work across Canada or the United States with Eastern time overlap.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to translate customer needs into software.
• Maintain clean, well-tested code and uphold shared standards.
• Make sound technical decisions and mentor others as needed.
