Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for the Software Product Engineering team in the San Francisco, California area. You will design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native applications across front-end and back-end systems, with AI-driven enhancements and scalable architectures.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software that improves patient outcomes, operating within Agile processes and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including full stack development across front-end and back-end systems.
• Experience with multiple languages (polyglot programming), including JavaScript/TypeScript or a JVM language (e.g., Kotlin).
• Professional experience delivering software solutions across the full development life cycle.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy components into provisioned cloud platform environments through automated CI/CD processes.
• Translate designs into APIs, user interfaces, libraries, and services across languages while following Lilly standards.
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate design, implementation, testing, and debugging.
• Build and integrate AI capabilities into products to improve patient and user outcomes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Partner with data specialists to implement database and data warehousing solutions.
• Maintain code quality via source control and code reviews.
• Complete projects with minimal supervision and direction.
