Job summary

Willis Re, building its global technology estate from the ground up, seeks a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to ship AI-enabled features and cloud-native services for reinsurance analytics and client platforms.

You'll design across the stack, work with Azure, APIs, React/TypeScript frontends, and security-first coding. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and product stakeholders in a greenfield environment, with opportunity to mentor others and influence standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in insurance, reinsurance or financial services is a plus.
• Strong backend skills in C#/.NET or Python with solid API design and SQL.
• Frontend experience with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Cloud & DevOps with Azure and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and Terraform.
• Security patterns including OAuth 2.0, Entra ID, RBAC and secure coding.
• Data experience with relational databases and high-performance SQL.
• AI development with LLMs or willingness to learn; familiarity with agentic patterns.
• Test-driven development, maintainable design, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build Across the Stack: Design, build and ship features end to end from APIs to UI.
• Cloud Native Delivery: Develop and run cloud-native apps on Azure with containers and IaC.
• Data‑Driven Features: Surface data in usable, performant ways for brokers and analysts.
• AI‑Enabled Development: Build AI‑enabled product features using retrieval‑augmented generation and integrations.
• AI‑Assisted Engineering: Use Claude Code / Claude Cowork as part of workflow and promote adoption.
• Integration: Connect with external market platforms, carriers and vendor SaaS via API‑first patterns.
• Quality & Security: Practice TDD and secure coding, applying OAuth 2.0, Entra ID, RBAC.
• Collaboration: Align with architectural standards, review code, and mentor others in a greenfield estate.
