Job summary

Pinecone is seeking a full-stack engineer to elevate visibility, control, and trust in product experiences, focusing on cost metrics, spend alerts, and usage dashboards. You’ll own the billing, management, and authentication interfaces to help customers understand and trust our platform.

You’ll work with product, design, and other engineering teams to identify user and system needs, delivering the right abstractions at the right time in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Bias toward automation and leverage — you reach for systems over elbow grease.
• Hands-on experience shipping with AI coding tools as part of workflow (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Proven ability to design and deliver APIs for a rapidly scaling product surface.
• Proficiency building web interfaces with React or similar.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong intuition for making APIs easy for humans and agents to use correctly.

Responsibilities

• Shape our product experience by proposing and building new features to build customer confidence.
• Ship end-to-end experiences across API, SDK, and web layers.
• Own integrations with billing systems and vendor APIs, ensuring resiliency and data accuracy.
• Create observable, auditable systems with monitoring and alerting for leadership and customers.
• Bring AI-assisted development practices to the team and establish scalable patterns.
• Partner with finance, product, and design to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
