Job summary

Pinecone is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build real AI-powered applications across the stack, from backend services to user-facing interfaces. You will own projects from idea to production, moving quickly while ensuring quality and reliability.

Expect to work with Python/TypeScript, React or Next.js, and hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings and vector databases. We offer health coverage, equity, 401(k), and remote-friendly policies.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience designing, building, and shipping production applications.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, including modern backend frameworks and frontend technologies such as React or Next.js.
• Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end projects from idea to production across the stack.
• Collaborate across backend services, retrieval pipelines, APIs and user-facing applications.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly to engineers, customers and stakeholders.
