Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Billing Platform in Bellevue, WA. You will own end-to-end projects, build federated billing systems, and shape AI product billing strategies in collaboration with Cortex AI and other teams.

You will leverage your deep experience in Java/Scala/Python/Go and SQL to ensure accurate usage metering, invoicing, and reporting. This role emphasizes reliability, cross-functional partnership, and innovative approaches to pricing AI services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and data-intensive workloads.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or Go and strong SQL/data modeling principles.

Responsibilities

• Own medium-sized projects end-to-end from design through launch and operation.
• Build federated, distributed billing systems that meter, rate, and invoice usage.
• Shape billing strategy for AI products in partnership with Cortex AI, Intelligence, and Apps.
• Use AI as a first-class collaborator in development, code review, and debugging.
• Own reliability and drive systemic fixes for monitoring, alerts, and on-call readiness.
• Be the go-to expert for one or more billing components and mentor engineers.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Finance, GTM Systems, Growth, Trust, and Legal.
