We are seeking a full-stack engineer to join our fast-moving, innovative team. You will tackle challenging problems and collaborate across teams to develop reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. A passion for the Spotify platform and expertise in building and managing new products are essential. As part of our team, you will become an expert in our interactive in-app ad platform, which includes diverse APIs, SDKs, and systems.

What You'll Do
  1. Design, develop, and deploy mobile and web applications, APIs, and SDKs using Java, Swift/Objective-C, and Javascript.
  2. Improve, scale, and standardize partner-enabled architecture across the organization.
  3. Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and designers to solve exciting problems that enable Spotify’s ad platform.
  4. Drive technical projects and influence product development.
  5. Innovate on new ideas to shape the future product roadmap.
  6. Ensure security standards are met to eliminate risks.
  7. Contribute to scaling and standardizing ad architecture, focusing on ubiquity devices like speakers and smart TVs.
  8. Engage in an environment supporting personal growth through challenging tasks, hack time, reading groups, lectures, and training courses.
Who You Are
  • You have a quality-focused mindset and are interested in all parts of software development: ideation, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, experimentation, and iteration.
  • You are experienced in backend development and building scalable, distributed systems.
  • You have recent mobile development experience for iOS and Android.
  • You are familiar with Google Cloud Platform products like Kubernetes/GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Datastore.
  • You have or are interested in learning about Ad Serving technologies such as SSPs, DSPs, Exchanges, and VAST.
  • You have hands-on experience with Java, Swift/Objective-C, Javascript, and various APIs.
  • You care about user experience and design.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment on greenfield projects.
  • You are collaborative, team-oriented, and value pairing, mobbing, and independent work.
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You can manage multiple projects simultaneously with full accountability.
  • You can own ideas from conception to deployment and beyond.
Where You'll Be
  • Flexible work location within the Americas region, with collaboration within the Eastern time zone.

The US base salary range for this position is $122,716 - $175,308, plus equity. Benefits include health insurance, parental leave, 401(k), meal allowance, paid time off, and holidays. Level placement is determined during the interview based on experience and performance, and ranges may change in the future.
