Job summary

UK-founded AI company is building its US technical capability and developing AI-powered decision intelligence for Defence, Security and Resilience. The role centers on shipping features end-to-end, with a focus on Python backend and frontend engineering using React or Vue.

You’ll own features from problem definition to production, work across backend, data, AI and frontend, and deploy in secure environments. Mostly remote with visits to Herndon, VA.

I’m working on a seriously interesting engineering hire for a UK-founded AI company that’s now building out its US technical capability

They’re developing AI-powered decision intelligence used across Defence, Security and Resilience, helping analysts and operators turn huge volumes of fragmented, multimodal data into a clear operational picture.

The platform has to work across cloud, classified, air-gapped and disconnected environments, where explainability, provenance, security and reliability actually matter.

They’re looking for a Full stack Engineer whose technical centre of gravity is:

Comfortable moving into frontend/full-stack work; React or Vue exposure

Enough React / Vue / frontend experience to ship complete products

You’d own meaningful features from an ambiguous problem through to production, rather than working inside a narrowly defined backend lane.

You could be:

• Building Python-heavy backend and data systems
• Working with multimodal data and ML-powered workflows
• Contributing across backend, data, AI and frontend
• Deploying software into highly secure environments
• Helping shape the engineering culture of a growing US team

The team is deliberately small, autonomous and multidisciplinary, so they’re looking for people who naturally take ownership, make decisions and cross technical boundaries when the problem requires it.

Location: Ideally Virginia / Northern Virginia

US office in Herndon, VA

Mostly remote, with the ability to get to Herndon when needed
