Job summary

Astreya is actively seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer who brings depth across the presentation, application/services, and data layers. You will design and maintain responsive apps with React.js and Node.js, expose RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, and build serverless solutions on Azure/AWS.

You will also model SQL/NoSQL data, work with graph databases, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in full stack web development across presentation, app/services, and data layers.
• Experience with React.js and its ecosystem (Redux, Router, etc.).
• Strong Node.js and Express.js experience.
• Experience with Azure / AWS services, especially Lambda and ECS.
• Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL design principles.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL experience, notably Couchbase.
• Experience with graph databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role requires a genuine, end-to-end Full Stack Engineer - not a front-end developer with some back-end exposure, nor a back-end engineer who occasionally works on the UI. The ideal candidate must demonstrate equally strong technical depth across the presentation layer, application/services layer, and data layer.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and Node.js
• Build and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and microservices using Node.js
• Implement serverless architectures using Azure / AWS Lambda and container-based solutions with ECS
• Design and maintain both SQL and NoSQL database schemas and queries
• Work with graph databases for complex data relationships
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Debug and optimize applications for maximum performance
• Work within an agile development environment
• Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
• Participate in technical design discussions and architecture planning

MUST HAVE Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience in full stack web development
• Experience with React.js and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Node.js and Express.js
• Experience with Azure / AWS services, particularly Lambda and ECS
• Understanding of RESTful API and GraphQL design principles
• Strong experience with SQL databases and NoSQL databases (particularly Couchbase)
• Experience with graph databases and graph data modeling
