Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Full Stack Engineer in Mountain View, CA to lead the Front-End Architecture of the Chemistry Insights Platform and build a high-performance, AI-driven interface for scientists.

You will implement real-time token streaming via SSE, manage complex client/server state with Zustand/Redux/Context, and optimize rendering of chemical structures and large data sets using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with React.js and Next.js, using TypeScript end-to-end.
• Experience with real-time streaming using SSE to support token-by-token LLM responses.
• Deep state management experience with Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or Context API.
• Styling with Tailwind CSS; build tooling with Vite or Webpack.
• Experience rendering heavy scientific payloads, chemical structures, and large datasets.

Full Stack Engineer

Scope:

• * Lead the Front-End Architecture for our Chemistry Insights Platform:
• * Architect the AI Interface: Build a high-performance, responsive user interface that connects our scientists with a powerful, LLM-driven backend.
• * Enable Agentic Workflows: Design and implement intuitive UIs for complex, multi-step AI interactions, making advanced information retrieval and data synthesis feel seamless to the end user.
• * Manage Real-Time State: Utilize technologies like WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE) to handle asynchronous LLM streaming, maintaining a smooth UX while agents process data in the background.
• * Domain-Specific Visualization: Optimize the rendering of heavy scientific payloads, chemical structures, and large document datasets without compromising browser performance.

Required:

• * Application Framework: React.js and Next.js, built strictly with TypeScript to ensure type safety across complex LLM data structures.
• * Real-Time Data Streaming: Utilizing Server-Sent Events (SSE) to handle asynchronous, token-by-token LLM responses, ensuring our agentic workflows feel instant and highly responsive.
• * State Architecture: Deep expertise in managing complex, real-time client and server state using Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or the Context API.
• * Styling & Build Tooling: Tailwind CSS for rapid, scalable UI development, bundled and optimized for performance via Vite or Webpack.

Pluses:

• * Experience in these areas is a massive plus, particularly for rendering complex chemical structures and handling heavy in-browser computation:
  • * Advanced 3D & Graphics: WebGL, WebGPU, and Three.js / React Three Fiber.
  • * High-Performance Compute: WebAssembly (Wasm).

Estimated Min Rate: $60.00

Estimated Max Rate: $75.00/hr. Depends on work experience
