Job summary

Oxy, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Full Stack Application Developer to join the IT Enterprise Content Management group. You will design, implement, and maintain McLaren-based solutions, REST APIs, and web UIs that support engineering and operations in the oil and gas sector.

You will collaborate with analysts, ECM architects, and Idox vendors, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance while delivering scalable, cross-platform integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Experience with .NET, REST APIs, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is preferred.
• Experience in designing and developing applications using .NET Frameworks.
• Good experience in SQL for database management, query optimization, and schema design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to support after-hours or weekend activity during critical project phases or outages.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good understanding of document management, engineering workflows, and compliance requirements in oil & gas or energy sectors is a plus.
• Experience with McLaren Development Studio and workflow design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize the McLaren EDMS to meet engineering and operational requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain McLaren workflows, forms, UI, and reporting components.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineering teams, and ECM architects to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Integrate McLaren with IBM FileNet and other platforms using APIs, middleware, and connectors.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and web components to extend McLaren capabilities.
• Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces to enhance end-user experience.
• Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and access control within McLaren.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of configurations and custom code.
• Support deployment, upgrades, and migrations, including legacy data analysis and mapping.
• Provide ongoing support and coordinate with vendor Idox for issues or bugs.
• Monitor performance and user feedback to identify improvements.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and system architecture.
• Review implementations for performance and best-practice alignment.
• Stay up to date with McLaren, Idox, and ECM trends to inform enhancements.
• Recommend tools, automation strategies, and standards to improve delivery.
