Job summary

Lilly is seeking an experienced full stack Django developer to support scientific workflow management applications in the ADMET Intelligence group. You will work closely with laboratory scientists to extend workflow features, APIs, and data tracking across systems.

Candidates should have 1+ year in Django, Python, and REST APIs, with PostgreSQL proficiency and experience in CI/CD. AWS/Docker/Kubernetes skills are valued, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Experience building full stack Django apps in Life Sciences, Biotech, or a similar R&D environment.
• Active GitHub profile with public contributions demonstrating Python experience.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and Django ORM/migrations.
• Experience with Django REST Framework for API development.
• Experience implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with laboratory scientists to develop new features for workflow management.
• Maintain integrations with internal/external APIs.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Write unit and integration tests with good coverage.
• Uphold code quality, docs, and CI/CD practices for enterprise production.
• Bridge discovery teams to IT/Cloud, translating science into engineering specs.
