Job summary

SageCor Solutions is a growing Maryland-area engineering firm delivering full lifecycle system engineering, high performance computing, and data analytics. A TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance is required for this role, with hands-on work across Java, C/C++, Python scripts, Elasticsearch, Solr, and Oracle in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency 24/7 on-call support on a rotating pager schedule (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks).
• Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting interfaces between multiple applications.
• Work in a Linux environment and support high performance computing and data analytics projects.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Required technical skills include:

• Java 8+

• Scripting (python, bash, php)

• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Understanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting interfaces between multiple applications

Additional desired technical skills may include experience with:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Basic sysadmin skills (managing cron jobs, selinux, etc.)
• reporting and dissemination tools

• Working in an agile environment using JIRA and Confluence

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
