Job summary

SageCor Solutions is seeking a senior software engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to work on high performance computing and data analytics projects in the Maryland/Government sector.

The role covers building Java enterprise apps, RESTful services, and modernizing applications with containerized deployments in a collaborative Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with relational databases.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.
Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph Required.
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Security Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot (or similar frameworks) and Angular (or comparable front-end technologies).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating applications with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or other relational databases.
• Experience with application modernization, including Spring Boot migrations, microservices, and database modernization initiatives.
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting containerized applications using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes platforms (e.g., Rancher, Amazon EKS, OpenShift).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts including Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, Persistent Volumes, Helm charts, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience implementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevSecOps practices, and modern software delivery processes.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence in Agile environments, providing database operational support, and working with XML, JSON, or other structured data formats.
