Job summary

SMBC Group in Charlotte is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and support applications that drive risk analysis and decision-making. You will develop full-stack solutions using Python and React, deployed on Microsoft Azure, turning business needs into reliable, production-ready systems.

You will improve system reliability, shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and contribute to consistent engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development with Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Back-end: Hands-on experience building applications with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Data: Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis tasks.
• Cloud / Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, Functions, Containers, and Storage.
• DevOps: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Tools: Experience using GitHub, VS Code, and modern development environments.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document decisions and collaborate across teams.

JOB SUMMARY

Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python frameworks such as Django and front-end tools like React

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Experience: 4+ years of professional software development with Python
