Job summary

Deloitte’s GPS unit is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Engineering as a Service team. You will contribute to backend and frontend development, building enterprise capabilities and delivering technical solutions across a product team of 12–15 professionals.

You will participate in code reviews, feature implementation, and demos for stakeholders. A TS/SCI clearance and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• 3+ years as a full-stack developer with React, SvelteKit, or Angular.
• 3+ years building REST APIs with FastAPI.
• 3+ years of Python and PostgreSQL experience; Docker for containerization.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% and legal ability to work in the United States.

Full Stack Developer - PROJECT - Software Engineer III - TS/SCI clearance

As a Software Engineer III on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for:

Contribute to technical development activities that support the product vision and enable enterprise capabilities for the client and its mission analysts

Develop code across backend and frontend components as part of a product team of 12-15 professionals, under the guidance of senior developers and technical leadership

Participate in code development, code reviews, feature implementation, and technical solution delivery with the broader team

Support the maintenance and advancement of the technical platform while continuing to build skills in enterprise software development

Participate in team demos and presentations that showcase platform capabilities to stakeholders and potential new tenants

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance


• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer using front-end frameworks such as React, SvelteKit, or Angular


• 3+ years of experience building REST application programming interfaces using FastAPI


• 3+ years of experience with Python and PostgreSQL, plus experience using Docker for containerization


• Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

• Experience with Kubernetes, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)


• Experience with Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)


• Experience with OpenAI application programming interface-compatible application programming interface design


• Experience with large language model-assisted development

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $188,400.
