Job summary

Aqua IT is seeking an experienced AWS-focused engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications on AWS. You will integrate Bedrock and other Generative AI capabilities into customer solutions, building robust CI/CD pipelines and IaC-driven infrastructure.

You will collaborate with AWS architects, engineers, and mission teams to deliver production-ready software, following best practices and cloud first principles. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required (CI Poly highly desired).
• Experience using Amazon Bedrock or other Generative AI capabilities.
• Strong experience deploying applications within AWS.
• Hands-on AWS CDK and IaC experience.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience integrating apps with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Git-based source control and modern software development workflows.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated software deployment.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and cloud infrastructure in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications using Python and modern web technologies.
• Develop new modules and capabilities within existing software applications.
• Integrate Amazon Bedrock and other Generative AI capabilities into customer applications and mission workflows.
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications and supporting infrastructure within AWS.
• Build and maintain deployable infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support application functionality and integrations.
• Integrate applications with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and Step Functions.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes to enable reliable application deployments.
• Collaborate with AWS architects, engineers, customer technical teams, and mission stakeholders to design and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Apply AWS Well-Architected principles when designing and implementing cloud solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, integration, and deployment issues across development and production environments.
• Develop secure, maintainable, and reusable software following established development and cloud engineering best practices.
