Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Forward Deployed Engineer (Adobe Experience Platform) for a long-term contract.

Remote anywhere in the US with 25% travel, you will partner with strategic customers to architect and deliver enterprise-grade Adobe Experience Platform solutions, blending advisory work with hands-on engineering. You’ll lead workshops, implement end-to-end architectures, and rapidly prototype capabilities using AI-assisted tools.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years across solution architecture, software engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Demonstrated ability to write code, build prototypes, and deliver working software grounded in implementation reality.
• Strong enterprise and data architecture expertise, including APIs, integrations, data modeling, identity resolution, and customer data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with strategic customers to understand their technical environments, business objectives, and definitions of success.
• Design and validate end-to-end enterprise solutions across Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and adjacent systems.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex platform issues involving data ingestion, identity resolution, journey orchestration, audience activation, and data pipelines.
• Lead architecture workshops, platform health checks, technical deep-dives, and written architecture reviews that build customer trust.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new capabilities using AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of execution.
• Own the technical relationship with one or more enterprise customers while collaborating with product, engineering, architecture, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify recurring field needs and translate customer patterns into product feedback, technical strategy, and expansion opportunities.

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer (Adobe Experience Platform) for our client, a people-focused, customer-driven consulting firm. This is a long-term contract opportunity, remote anywhere in the US with 25% travel.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role combines solution architecture, technical consulting, and hands-on engineering focused on Adobe Experience Platform. You’ll work directly with strategic customers to understand their architecture, workflows, security requirements, and business objectives; solve complex platform challenges; and accelerate adoption and expansion.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8–15+ years across solution architecture, software engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Demonstrated ability to write code, build prototypes, and deliver working software grounded in implementation reality.
• Strong enterprise and data architecture expertise, including APIs, integrations, data modeling, identity resolution, and customer data platforms.
• Experience designing across complex, multi-system environments involving event-driven architectures, streaming or batch pipelines, data lakes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with security, compliance, privacy, data governance, and regulated environments; familiarity with data sovereignty and GDPR is a plus.
• Strong customer empathy, communication, business acumen, and ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AEP, RTCDP, AJO, CJA, Target, CDPs, MDM, martech, or comparable data platforms is strongly preferred.
• Growth mindset, bias toward action, and fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This contract position offers a rate range of $100-150/HR, commensurate with experience. We offer a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with additional perks.
