Job summary

First Horizon Bank in Memphis, TN seeks a full stack developer to design, build, and maintain APIs and banking integrations. You will work across client and server sides, leveraging React, Node.js, Java/SpringBoot, and cloud services.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for Open Banking, using Docker and event-driven architectures. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full stack development, preferably in banking/financial sector.
• 1+ years with React, Node.js Express, HTML, CSS, Java with SpringBoot.
• 1+ year with Azure cloud services and microservices.
• 2+ years with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Familiar with Git version control.
• Strong Docker knowledge for containerization.
• Familiar with event streaming platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hub.
• Familiar with Open Banking standards and OAuth protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable APIs.
• Build full-stack apps integrating with banking systems and third-party platforms.
• Work on client-side and server-side code for performance and UX.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
• Design solutions for integrating banking systems with third-party services.
• Develop event-driven data processing and integration across systems.
• Build and deploy apps using Docker for portability.
• Implement security best practices for sensitive banking data.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Conduct code reviews and debugging throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed apps and APIs.
• Implement updates based on user feedback and regulatory changes.
