Job summary

CGS, a seed-stage AI company in San Francisco, is hiring two engineers to own features end-to-end and influence architectural decisions on the core AI platform used by logistics providers.

Expect a stack of Next.js/TypeScript on the frontend and Python/Node.js on the backend, with strong emphasis on ownership, independence, and delivering complete solutions in a lean startup environment. On-site five days a week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Practical experience with Next.js and Node.js.
• Experience designing and building applications across frontend and backend.
• Ability to take ownership of features from concept to production deployment.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, testing, and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the AI platform.
• Own engineering projects end to end from architecture to deployment.
• Develop front-end apps using Next.js and TypeScript.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines with Python and Node.js.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into core capabilities.
• Tackle complex AI and logistics workflow challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
