Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer in San Francisco to build AI-powered web applications. You will design, implement, and deploy scalable backend services using Python and deliver responsive frontends with TypeScript frameworks.

You will closely collaborate with data scientists to integrate ML models, design robust ETL pipelines, and ensure reliable data processing in production environments. A strong emphasis on cloud deployment and CI/CD is required.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years in full stack development, with 2-3 years in AI-driven application projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend/API development and TypeScript for frontend applications.
• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and TypeScript frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js).
• ETL & Data Engineering: designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data processing tools.
• Databases: relational and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• AI/ML Integration: experience deploying AI/ML models into production workflows.
• Cloud & DevOps: containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD with AWS/Azure/GCP services.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: design, develop, and deploy AI-driven web apps with scalable frontend and backend.
• Backend Engineering: build server-side apps in Python, integrating with databases, APIs, and AI models.
• Frontend Development: create responsive UIs with TypeScript frameworks.
• AI Integration: collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models.
• ETL Pipeline Development: design, transform, and load large-scale datasets from multiple sources.
• API Design & Integration: develop and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud Deployment: deploy and monitor apps and ETL pipelines on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Testing & QA: implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaboration: work with data eng, AI research, product, and UX teams.
• Continuous Improvement: stay updated with new tech and AI trends.
