Garud Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Contract Specialist to manage the full procurement lifecycle for DHS/ICE OAQ, including requirements, solicitation, evaluation, and award. The role emphasizes FAR compliance, cost analysis, and government-clearance processes.

Based in Washington, DC, this on-site position supports five days a week, reporting to the Program Manager. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in federal Government contracting.
• 5+ years cradle-to-grave contracting experience in a Federal Government setting.
• Experience with FPDS and SAM.gov.
• Ability to interpret and apply FAR and agency regulations.
• Experience with government contract-writing software (PRISM preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with DHS or multi-agency contract vehicles.
• Experience handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and practices OPSEC in daily duties and reports OPSEC issues.
• Interprets and applies procurement regulations including FAR and agency regulations.
• Utilizes FAR 8, 12, 13, 15, 16 contracting methods.
• Prepares, briefs, routes, and obtains government clearances for acquisition documents.
• Analyzes cost proposals to develop pre-negotiation positions and competitive ranges.
• Establishes pre-negotiation positions and supports source selection activities.
• Manages sensitive information (procurement, law enforcement, or other secure data).
• Other duties as assigned.
