Job summary

OCT Consulting LLC is seeking a Contract Specialist to support a Federal client in a full-time, on-site role. You will embed with the client’s contracting department, handling cradle-to-grave acquisitions, RFQs/RFPs, source selections, and FPDS-NG reporting.

Responsibilities include market research, negotiations support, and ensuring FAR/DFARS compliance across complex contracts. A DAWIA certification and 5+ years of experience are preferred; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Government contracting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; education and experience may not be substituted.
• DAWIA Contracting Professional certification or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of Federal contracting laws and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Support full acquisition lifecycle for fixed-price and cost-type contracts.
• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and combined solicitations with proper FAR/DFARS terms.
• Assist in source selections, evaluation, and decision memoranda.
• Perform cost and price analysis on large datasets using Excel.
• Develop pre-negotiation objectives and assist during negotiations.
• Prepare award documents and FPDS-NG reporting.
• Support contract administration, modifications, and closeout.
• Work with ePS, FPDS-NG, SAM, and PIEE systems; ensure compliance.
