Job summary

Jobtailor in Orlando seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee the complete life cycle of mechanical construction projects. You will ensure safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery while exceeding client expectations.

The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, proficiency with Word and Excel, and the ability to coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and/or project management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
• Experience with construction technologies, scheduling, equipment, materials and methods, and financial management.
• Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project life cycle from inception to close.
• Ensure safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery meeting quality and customer expectations.
• Coordinate site planning, hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and site walks.
• Manage project execution throughout its life cycle.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal requirements.
• Conduct and document key project meetings (Kick-Off, Hand‑Off, etc.).
• Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor agreements in line with estimates.
• Coordinate quality assurance and quality control.
• Manage scope coordination with BIM department and QC personnel.
• Handle financial setup: equipment, labor, materials, subcontracts.
• Perform monthly cost reviews and communicate deviations to beat schedule/budget.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Payables to maintain cash flow.
• Obtain lien waivers, tax documents, permits as needed.
• Ensure budget/scope alignment through change control.
• Attend site meetings, schedule deliveries, oversee site documentation.
• Build strong relations with internal teams, customers, subs, and vendors.
• Monitor risk items including Notices to Proceed, contracts, insurance, and bonds.
• Close-out documents: O&M manuals, start-up docs, as-builts, warranties.
